About Invoice No.
Invoice No. is a free tool for creating invoices, receipts, quotes, and other business documents straight in your browser. One independent operator builds and runs it. There is no investor, no sales team, and no growth target beyond keeping the tool useful and paying for itself.
What Invoice No. does
Freelancers and small businesses need clean paperwork for every stage of a job. Invoice No. covers that paper trail: quote a piece of work, order supplies with a purchase order, bill the client with an invoice, and confirm payment with a receipt. The tool also produces credit notes, timesheets, statements of account, delivery notes, payment receipts, and expense reports. A small set of calculators handles day rates, VAT, late-payment interest, and rough project costs.
You fill in your details, watch a live preview update as you type, and download a finished PDF. Most documents take about a minute. The interface runs in 13 languages, and it surfaces the right tax fields for several countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Canada, and the United States.
How your data is handled
Privacy sits at the centre of the free tools. They run entirely in your browser. When you build a document, nothing travels to a server. The PDF is generated on your own device, and any sender details you save stay in your browser's local storage so you do not have to retype them next time. No account is required, and the free tools store nothing about you on our side.
An optional paid account adds a saved, searchable workspace for people who want their documents tracked over time. That part uses a database with row-level security, so each account can reach only its own records. Using an account is a choice. The free browser tools stay browser-only and need no signup. For the full detail on storage, providers, and your rights, read the privacy policy.
Who runs it
An independent operator based in Germany runs Invoice No. as a sole proprietor. The full legal identity, postal address, and responsible-party details appear in the Impressum. Running the site as one person keeps the priorities simple: honest documents, a fair price for the optional account, and no quiet harvesting of your data.
How the tool stays free
The browser tools cost nothing and stay that way. A single paid plan funds the work and covers the saved-account features. Advertising and affiliate links help cover hosting. None of that changes the promise on the free side: open a tool, make a document, download it, and move on.
